MATATU FILM FUND (MFF)
The Matatu Film Fund (MFF) was created with the purpose of providing financial support to both emerging and established filmmakers to enable them to tell stories that are meaningful and relevant. MFF offers funding to various types of productions, including long and short-fiction narratives and documentaries, at different stages of development, production, and distribution.
We are continuously seeking partnerships with selected organizations to further support up-and-coming talents and the production of films intended for various distribution platforms, including theatrical release, video on demand, and others. Since its launch in 2022, the Matatu Film Fund has already supported the production of one short film, “The Last Shoemaker”, which was funded through a combination of private and crowdfunding efforts from friends and family.
We welcome all interested parties to contribute to this fund, allowing us to support even more filmmakers and enable them to tell their stories to a wider audience.
